Our time away from the blogs was well spent. We've redesigned, refreshed & added guest bloggers who'll come on board with expertise in ALL areas of wellness--from the foods we eat to the thoughts we think.
The absolute passion that has always brought me to the kitchen: starting from my love of grocery shopping right up the moment the last dish is dried and tucked away has never left me--even through the gut-wrenching changes of the last few years and amazing faith it takes to start something new again.
I am very lucky. There have been a core group of people (family/friends/& ancestors whose wisdoms lasted beyond their lives) who have seen me through the challenges. They have had the least interest in how successful I am publicly as long as I am well, safe, happy privately & this is the kind of love that we, as individuals, have to have in order to live purposefully, and if we so choose (publicly).
This enduring, healing love, which has been expanded through those I've met in much of my recent work, has given me the courage to branch out in exciting ways I hadn't previously imagined, as I bring my beloved Skinny Carib (R) brand with me under our corporate umbrella T.H.E Island World--because the world is your home, but the Caribbean is your heart(TM).
My love has always embraced a global community & the more I share my passions with those I've met as I travel the globe--whether from my laptop portal or via the latest jumbo jet, the easier it has become for me to step out in faith, because the love that brought me to this work is the same that sustains me and guides me through it.
And so, we say, get ready, get excited, prepare you palate, your mind & your hearts for THE Skinny Carib return.
